BPO firm WNS Global to focus on four verticals
Wednesday, December 22 2004 10:57 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

Mumbai: Business process outsourcing (BPO) firm WNS Global Services is to focus on four industry verticals - Airline, Travel & Hospitality (ALH), Insurance, Healthcare, and professional and information services - to fuel business growth.

The BPO outfit has completed a business restructuring exercise and would now focus on the four verticals, including having ALH operations for British Airways and other airline and travel industry clients, WNS Global said in a release in Mumbai on Tuesday (Dec 21, 2004).

Group CEO Neeraj Bhargava said the company has grown rapidly in the last three years and with over $ 150 million in revenue very likely in the current year, the new vertical structure and the talent would prepare us well for accelerated growth in the future.

The insurance vertical would include the WNS Assistance unit based in the UK while services under Healthcare vertical would be offered through a unit called WNS ClaimsBPO, the release said.

Professional and Information Services, operating through a unit called WNS Knowledge Services would provide a variety of research and analytics services, it said.

In addition, a small group of senior executives are being mandated to develop one-two new verticals that would be critical to WNS' growth in the coming years, WNS said.

With growing competition in the BPO market, WNS believes this verticaliszation move is vital to sharpen its domain expertise, develop new services and technologies, it added.
