Bangalore: Air Deccan today (Dec 21, 2004) signed a contract to buy 30 180-seater A-320 aircraft from European aircraft maker Airbus Industries.

Airbus will begin delivery of the aircraft from 2007 under the deal whose estimated market value is $ 1.8 billion.

Air Deccan Managing Director G R Gopinath and Airbus Chief Commercial Officer John Leahy signed the deal in Bangalore.
