TWS Holdings sells Hyderabad unit to Brigade Corp
Friday, December 17 2004 10:42 Hrs (IST) - World Time

Mumbai: TWS Holdings has sold its Hyderabad facility to Brigade Corporation for an undisclosed sum, and is planning to consolidate its operations in Greater Mumbai area.

"The divestment is part of our strategic growth plan to enhance our voice-centric capabilities. Our Hyderabad facility has been custom-built for tech-support and suits Brigade well," TWS Holdings CEO Rakesh Kaul said in release in Mumbai on Thursday (Dec 16, 2004).

Brigade, a BPO company with operations in Chennai and Hyderabad, has completely bought over the unit, including its technical support agents, he said.

Meanwhile, the company is planning to consolidate its operations in Mumbai-Pune belt and is looking at opening a second site with 200 seats in the area, he said, adding, at present the company has a facility in Navi Mumbai.

TWS has been scouting for locations in Mumbai-Pune belt to meet its expansion and redundancy needs and to match service its growing client base, he added.

TWS Holdings was formed in October 2003 with the merger of three BPO firms - Tracmail, Webhelp and Sphrenomics - and has offices in North America and Canada.
