With the aim of increasing its focus on the small and medium business (SMB) segment in India, Ramco Systems, a global enterprise solutions and services provider, on Thursday (Dec 16, 2004) said that it has partnered with Sigmasoft Consulting.
Sigmasoft, an enterprise management solutions provider, will promote Ramco e-applications, a ERP product that will provide SMBs, in the manufacturing and pharmaceutical sectors with an end-to-end offering that includes software, hardware, implementation and support services, a company press release said in Chennai.
"Our partnership with Sigmasoft demonstrates our longstanding commitment to the Indian SMB segment," country manager and head (India, Middle East and Africa), Ramco Systems, R Shankar, said in the statement.
The Indian SMB market in 2003 is estimated at $9 million. Currently, the SMB segment in India comprises over 20,000 companies having less than Rs 200 crore turnover. According to Frost & Sullivan, the Indian SMB market will grow to $31 million by 2010, the release said.
Chennai-based Ramco Systems, part of the $300 million Ramco Group, currently services over 1,000 customers across 40 countries. Sigmasoft Consulting focuses on delivering solutions to the SMB segment in pharmaceutical and manufacturing verticals.
