Optimus, the wholly owned business process outsourcing (BPO) subsidiary of Polaris Software Lab, on Tuesday (Dec 14, 2004) launched 'Optimum T', a comprehensive business infrastructure solutions to support the credit card market.
The product will be offered to Indian banks and later to the clients in Asia Pacific and global markets, Polaris said in a press release.
"Optimum T offers banks the complete portfolio of technology, infrastructure and business services required to build a profitable card portfolio," it said.
As a first step, the product will be offered to Indian banks, enabling them to aim for leadership slots in the country's credit card market, by offering them the advantage of proven technology and shared services, said Govind Singhal, CEO of Optimus.
With the new product, banks can take advantage of world-class infrastructure without having to actually budget capital investment, said Arun Jain, CMD and CEO of Polaris.
"The launch is part of the group's strategic initiative to offer clients the combined benefits of product technology, outsourcing and domain expertise," he said.
