Mumbai: The Mumbai police today (Dec 8, 2004) arrested the Director of a co-operative bank over alleged charges of swindling bank money.

Additional Commissioner of Police, Economic Offences Wing, K L Bishnoi said that Ashok Advani, the director of Jai-Hind Cooperative Bank was arrested this evening.

We have arrested him on the charges of swindling bank money to the tune of Rs 27 crore," he told reporters.

Advani would be produced before a special court tomorrow.
