Reliance group company stocks open sharply lower

Mumbai: Reliance group listed stocks, except IPCL, opened sharply lower today (Nov 29, 2004) as the ongoing tussle between Ambani brothers -- Mukesh and Anil -- over "ownership issues" in Reliance group continued to put the downward pressure on stocks.

Reliance Energy stock opened lower at Rs 538.55 as against close of Rs 549.10 on November 25, the last trading day at the Stock Exchange, Mumbai (BSE) today.

REL stock touched low of Rs 530 and was currently quoting at Rs 531.

Battle of Ambanis -- Will they stick or split?

Reliance Industries Ltd, a BSE-30 heavyweight share opened lower at Rs 498 against previous close of Rs 503.5 on November 25. It is currently quoting at Rs 489.70.

Indian Petrochemcials Ltd, another group entity, saw its price opening slightly higher at Rs 176 (Rs 175.35). It is currently quoting Rs 171.90.

The scrip of Reliance Capital Ltd opened the day at Rs 134 against closing price of Rs 136.25 on November 25. It is currently quoting at Rs 130.25.

Reliance Industrial Infrastrucure Ltd's scrip also opened lower at Rs 70 (Rs 73.15). It was currently quoting at Rs 72.
