Mobile device firm Nokia today (Oct 6, 2004) opened its 120-seater India call centre in Bangalore to serve local customers in Indian languages.
The call centre, to be managed by Malaysian BPO services provider SCICOM will have about 150 people working in the next few months, SCICOM group executive director and CEO Leo Ariyanayakam told reporters in Bangalore.
Ariyanayakam refused to divulge the investments in the call centre, housed at the International Technology Park, besides future projections for hiring staff.
"The call centre will provide support for Nokia products in six Indian languages," he said.
