New Delhi: Finance Minister P Chidambaram today (Sep 28, 2004) said there is a need to introduce "some flexibility" in the labour market to generate more jobs in the country.

"We must introduce some flexibility in the labour market," he said launching the temporary employment network portal (www.teamlease.com).

"We have allowed some flexibility, except for industrial workers," the Finance Minister said adding even for industrial workers there is some thinking for doing away with a few rigidities.
