Mumbai: HCL Technologies' business process outsourcing centre in Chennai has been awarded BS7799 certification by the British Standards Institute (BSI).

The BS7799 certification is the British standard for 'protection of an organisation's information asset' and is one of the widely recognised security standard in the world, HCL Technologies informed the Bombay Stock Exchange on Friday (Aug 27, 2004).
