'Hutch' slashes tariff for prepaid subscribers
Thursday, August 26 2004 16:10 Hrs (IST)

Bangalore: Private cellular firm Hutch today (Aug 26, 2004) launched its new tariff for its prepaid subscribers, who can call any mobile phone at 99 paise per minute and STD calls for any phone in the country for Rs 2.25 per minute.

"We have simplified the pre-paid tariff structure by introducing a flat outgoing rate to any local mobile phone," Hutch Chief Marketing Officer Harit Nagpal said in a statement.

He said the new plan would be an incentive for fixed line subscribers to become first-time mobile users.
