FM promises more fiscal steps to contain inflation
Finance Minister P Chidambaram tonight (Aug 19, 2004) promised more fiscal steps to contain inflation and assured the nation that there was no shortage of food grains and other essential commodities.

'L&T Infotech to hire 1,800 people in 18 months'
L&T Infotech Ltd, the wholly owned subsidiary of engineering major Larson and Toubro Ltd, today (Aug 19, 2004) said it would hire 1,800 people in the next 18 months to reach a total strength of 5,000 professionals.

'Indians preferred to replace Americans, Europeans'
