Internet subscribers rise 64 pc
The number of active Internet subscribers during 2003-04 increased 64 per cent to 23 lakh (2.3 million) from 14 lakh (1.4 million) in the previous fiscal, according to the Manufacturers Association for Information Technology.

Rail Annual Plan outlay pegged at Rs 14,498 crore
The 2004-05 Annual Plan outlay for the Railways has been pegged at Rs 14,498 crore, which is Rs 773 crore more than the outlay of the Interim Budget apart from Rs 300 crore for the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramullah national project.
