Sharp rally at BSE: Sensex up 133 pts, ends at 5010 Wednesday, May 19 2004 16:52 Hrs (IST)

Stocks rallied sharply pushing the Sensex up by another 133 points in extremely volatile activity at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) today (May 19,2004) on sustained purchases by domestic financial institutions.
Extending its gains to the second straight day, the BSE Benchmark 30-share index ended at 5010 against yesterday's close of 4877.02, a net gain of 133 points.
On the National Stock Exchange (NSE), the S&P CNX Nifty registered sharp rise of 65.80 points at 1569.75 at 3.30 pm from previous close of 1503.95.
