New Delhi: BusinessObjects, a provider of business intelligence products and solutions, yesterday (May 17, 2004) announced its tie-up with Wipro Infotech aimed at strengthening the latter's position in the business intelligence market, which is expected to touch $ 30 million in 2005, in India.

The two companies have a long-standing systems integrator agreement to provide clients with BI solutions. This tie-up would strengthen Wipro's position in BI market by providing strategic advisory and implementation services, a company release said in New Delhi.

"We are seeing increasing growth in BI and view BusinessObjects technology solutions as an important step in this evolving market," Wipro Infotech's vice president (international operations and business head of solutions division), Rajat Mathur said.

Wipro's enterprise BI consulting provides integrated solutions that enable knowledge workers to access data from existing production databases and applications across the enterprise using advanced data warehousing and decision support solutions and services.
