Mumbai: The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) is to induct the scrip of Maruti Udyog Ltd in BSE 30-stock Index in place of Larsen & Toubro Ltd's stock from May 19, 2004.

This replacement was being made due to the demerger of L&T's cement business into a new company UltraTech Cemco Ltd and the capital restructuring being undertaken subsequent to the demerger, BSE said in communication to broking members today (May 15, 2004).

The free-float adjustment factor for Maruti Udyog stock would be 0.30.
