Bangalore: Wipro today (Apr 16, 2004) recommended two bonus shares (rpt two bonus shares) for each share to its shareholders.

The company also recommended a total dividend of Rs 29 per share including Rs 25 as a onetime cash dividend.

Wipro Ltd declared it posted a net profit of Rs 1,031 crore for the fiscal 2003-04, registering an increase of 26 per cent over Rs 829 crore reported last fiscal.

The company disclosed that its gross revenue for 2003-04 was Rs 5,881 crore, up by 36 per cent over Rs 4,338 crore in 2002-03.

The company's flagship division global IT services and products posted a revenue of Rs 4,357 crore, showing an increase of 43 per cent over Rs 8,451 crore.

The division posted a profit before tax of Rs 954 crore.
