Microsoft Corp launches BizTalk Server 2004 Tuesday, March 23 2004 19:10 Hrs (IST)

Microsoft Corporation India today (Mar 23, 2004) launched its server for enterprises, BizTalk Server 2004, aimed at businesses with multiple applications for enterprise application integration (EAI) and business process integration.
Cap Gemini Ernst and Young (CGE&Y) and Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) said they had set up a centre for excellence for Biztalk based EAI solutions.
"We expect BFSI, Manufacturing and Telecom verticals to be the early adopters of this product with ICICI bank and Moser Baer among our first Indian customers for the latest edition of Biztalk," Microsoft India Marketing and Business Operations Director Ranjivjit Singh told reporters in Bangalore.
According to IDC India, the Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) services market in India is expected to grow at a four year compounded annual growth rate (CAGR) of 37.4 per cent from $ 7.78 million in 2001-02 to $ 27.71 million by 2005-06.
"Today, enterprises face significant challenges in managing and automating increasingly disconnected business processes. Bitztalk server enables customers to manage and automate their business processes, while also giving users tools to design, deploy and monitor these processes in real time," Microsoft Product Marketing Manager Tarun Malik said.
