The Lifesciences alliance announced "Lifesciences Symposium" to be held in Goa between April 29 to May 1, 2004.
The symposium is an effort to create awareness of pharmaceutical drug development and the manufacturing environment prevailing in the emerging as well as mature global markets.
The symposium will create a unique platform for experts from the global pharmaceutical industry to offer a comprehensive perspective of pharmaceutical drug development from discovery through commercialisation.
As part of the symposium multiple workshops will be organised with industry experts and business analysts. An impressive panel from major global pharmaceutical companies and academia will participate in the event providing knowledge on key trends in collaboration and outsourcing.
The Lifesciences alliance, a private alliance founded in 2003 between Austin Chemical Company Inc (USA), Suven Life Sciences (India), Shasun Chemicals and Drugs Limited (India), and Innovasynth Technologies (India) was started to provide a networking opportunity among industry specialists to understand the existing industry trends across companies in the US, Europe and Asia.
Discussions will cover areas such as Global Intellectual property, Pharmaceutical Drug Discovery, Pharmaceutical drug Development, Clinical Research, Global Regulatory, Evolving pharmaceutical outsourcing, Pharmaceutical Business and investment in India.
In addition to workshops, randomly selected Indian companies will be able to showcase their capabilities as India emerges as a major hub for collaborative pharmaceutical drug development and manufacturing.
Participation in the symposium is by a fee with the alliance making arrangements for hotel and other accommodations on a first come first serve basis. On-line registrations are open and personnel are available to help in registration and logistics in getting to Goa.
