Quantech to invest $ 3 mn in Bangalore facility

Bangalore: US-based automotive design, analysis and engineering services firm Quantech Global Services Ltd today (Feb 24, 2004) said it will invest $ three million to set up an Asian Technical Centre facility in Bangalore and add 300 more engineers.

Quantech, promoted by Indian American Mukesh Gandhi, provides automotive industry a complete product life cycle management expertise from concept to pre-production.

"We see our Asian Technical Centre in Bangalore contribute significantly to our business revenues, as our customer mandate for product design and development lie with the Indian team," Quantech Global Services president and CEO Gandhi told reporters.

Privately held Quantech has ATC in Hyderabad, in which it has invested $ five million.

"With some of our customers also planning investments and expansion in India, Quantech is well poised to take advantage of these opportunities," Quantech chief financial officer Dave Zischke said.

The firm's customers include General Motors, Ford, Daimler Chrysler, Delphi, Honda, Visteon and Toyota, among others.
