New Delhi: IT company Xansa will set up an offshore development centre in Chennai for the US-based Lawson Software to manage its ERP product maintenance services.

Under a multi-million Dollar three-year agreement, the partnership between Xansa and Lawson will commence in February with upto an additional 70 Xansa staff involved, a joint press release said.

Xansa has been selected by Lawson as its offshore development partner.

"Xansa's experience will enable Lawson to continue improving its product maintenance support, it will also increase Lawson's development capacity, to focus on new product development. It is expected that the partnership would reduce annual maintenance costs," the release said.

"We look forward to making this relationship a resourcing success, Jay Cpughlan, president and CEO, Lawson Software said.
