CES to hire 1,000 operator-based BPO in Kolkata

Kolkata: Consulting Engineering Services (India) Pvt Limited (CES) will offer 3,000 jobs in BPO (Business Process Outsourcing), engineering and project management activities at its facility in Salt Lake.

Announcing this in Kolkata on Thursday (Jan 15, 2004), Managing Director of CES S S Chakraborty told reporters that the Company, which was a multi-disciplinary consultancy firm, would run 1,000 operator-based BPO at present.

Chakraborty said that CES would offer all the jobs in the ITeS segment. CES was registered with premier international funding institutions like World Bank, Asian Development Bank, African Development Bank, KfW of Germany and OECF of Japan.

He also said that gradually, CES would relocate some of the major operations at Salt Lake from Delhi.

For setting up the CES centre at Salt Lake, the West Bengal Government had already allotted one acre of land in Sector Five in Salt Lake.

In the first phase, the three-storey block will be constructed having an approximate area of 2200 square metres (24,000 square feet).

The second phase of the construction will have an approximate area of 63,000 square feet.
