Govt in talks with Suzuki to offload equity in MUL

New Delhi: Government today (Jan 9, 2004) said it had started talks with Japanese auto major Suzuki for offloading its remaining equity in joint venture Maruti Udyog Ltd (MUL).

Disinvestment Minister Arun Shourie told reporters in New Delhi that Government would complete the sale of residual stake in IPCL (Indian Petrochemical Corporation Limited), VSNL (Videsh Sanchar Nigam Limited) and IBP by mid-February and bring public offer for offloading equity in Dredging Corporation.
