New Delhi: IDBI Bank has bought over the call centre equipment from BNP Paribas and introduced new services, including instant registration and electronic fund transfer, from its upgraded call centre in Mumbai.

The bank bought the call centre equipment from BNP Paribas some three months back, a bank official said. However, he refused to divulge the cost of the transaction.

These new services would also be introduced in other locations such as Pune and Delhi in phased manner, he added.

IDBI Bank in a release said the software and application development was developed by the bank team with external vendor support.

Some of the other new services are cheque status, bill payments, dial-a-draft and instant statement by e-mail, it added.

IDBI Bank managing director and CEO (chief executive officer) G V Nageswara Rao said these new features would be of great convenience to customers on the move.
