BPO firm vCustomer opens 1,000-seat centre in Pune
Thursday, November 27 2003 10:00 Hrs (IST)

New Delhi: Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) company vCustomer Corporation yesterday (Nov 26) announced the launch of its 1,000-seat centre in Pune.

This is vCustomer's fourth centre in India and is in line with its business plans for the year 2003-04, a company release said.

The centre, which is expected to be operational by March 2004, will cater to growth projections from existing client businesses and recent business customers in the technology support and customer care services.

The recruitment for the centre has already begun.

The ramp-up is close on heels of three-month recruitment drive in Delhi and North India, which doubled the company's headcount to 3,000.

Commenting on the move, Sujit Baksi, vCustomer's president-India and head of global operations said, "Pune offers us the right mix of an abundant talent pool with strong technical skills, proximity to educational institutions and a business-friendly environment."
