Wyse Technology forays into 'bright' Indian market
Thursday, October 30 2003 17:31 Hrs (IST)

Bangalore: Wyse Technology, the worldwide leader in secure, managed thin clients, today (Oct 30) announced its foray into the Indian market with the launch of its thin clients and server centric solutions.

The company said the future of the thin clients market in India is expected to be extremely bright with phenomenal growth projected in the government, financial, IteS (IT enabled Services), education, hospitality and healthcare sectors.

Company officials said Wyse delivers the benefits of server-centric computing through its market-leading Winterm thin clients that run on embedded operating systems like Windows Xpe, CE, Linux and Blazer (Wyse proprietary OS).

Wyse has been the market leader in this field for six straight years and has over two decades of experience in designing and manufacturing terminals, they told reporters in Bangalore, adding, Wyse aims at gaining a large share in the domestic IT industry in India by bringing its domain expertise in server-centric computing.

Officials said Wyse thin clients are extremely suitable for helping with manageability, reliability and security across the IT infrastructure, while simultaneously reducing the acquisition and total cost of ownership.
