Bangalore: Oak Investment Partners, a leading United States-based venture capital firm, announced on
October 22 that it is looking to invest in Indian companies, primarily in Business Process Outsourcing
(BPO), Information Technology enables services (ITES) and IT services sectors.
Oak is already talking to some promising companies in Bangalore, it said in a statement.
"We are in initial discussion with a handful of companies in the BPO, ITES and IT services sectors and
we are bullish about our growth in India," said Ranjan Chak, venture partner, Oak Investment Partners.
A few current Oak portfolio companies already working in India include Aventail, Concerto/Melita,
Evident Software, Excel Switching Corporation, Pivotal/Talisma and XIOtech.
Oak Investment Partners is a growth-oriented private equity firm with a total of $ 4.2 billion in committed
capital.
