Mumbai: Aptech Ltd is planning to set up a dedicated content outsourcing facility in Chennai to provide
educational content to overseas clients, mainly for those in US and UK, apart from its existing foreign
clients.
"There is a lot of interest among third party clients for good education content and we plan to create
both instructor-led and online educational content at the centre," Aptech chief executive officer and
managing director Pramod Khera said in a release on October 20.
The company expects to house an additional 150 content developers, including visualisers, graphic
artists and instructional designers, increasing its total number of developers to around 250, it said.
Aptech, which expects 20 per cent of its total revenues to come in from content development, also plans
to recruit over 100 professionals in the next one year, it said.
The new recruitments would be developers with competencies in multimedia technologies for SCORM
and AICC compliant content development, it added.
The company, which has content development and outsourcing centres in Mumbai and Chennai, offers
content to over 52 countries under its three brands, Aptech Computer Education, SSI Education and
Arena Multimedia, he said.
