Bangalore: South-based two-wheeler major TVS Motor Company Ltd on October 1 said it sold 1,05,989
units in September, up by three per cent over 1,03,117 units sold during September 2002.
TVS said that its flagship motorcycle Victor and Fiero F2 in the premium segment drew sales to touch a
total of 64,598 units, but did not specify the sales during the corresponding month last year.
The total motorcycle sales for the first half of 2003-04 stood at 3,63,127 units, an increase by five per
cent over 3,45,352 units, reported same period last year, a TVS statement said in Bangalore.
TVS scooter (sub 100cc category) sold 18,201 units in September, an increase of 41 per cent over
19,927 units sold last year.
The growth is driven by Scooty Pep, it said, adding that production levels were being increased to cater
to the demand.
TVS moped sales stood at 22,830 units last month, an increase of four per cent over 21,855 units sold
during September 2002.
