NATIONAL EU has lost moral ground on Singapore issues: India
New Delhi: India on September 19 said the European Union had lost the moral ground to bring in contentious Singapore issues into the work programme of World Trade Organisation (WTO) after it was blocked by over 80 developing nations in the recently concluded Ministerial at Cancun.
INTERNATIONAL 'India has done well to do away with licence raj'
Dubai: Outgoing World Bank chief economist Nicholas Stern on September 20 lauded India's efforts in boosting the growth rate from 3.5 per cent per annum to over five per cent by doing away with the
licence raj, but warned that unsatisfactory development in rural areas of the country and corruption in some states posed major challenges for economic growth.
