Thursday, September 18 2003 19:14 Hrs (IST)

New Delhi: Strengthening the offshore operations, IT services company Infinite Computer Solutions (ICS) will increase headcount in its Bangalore development centre to 600 by March 2004 from the current 350.

"We expect offshore revenue to go up 22 per cent in the current fiscal from 12 per cent last year and in keeping with the growth in offshore activities, we plan to increase our total headcount to 1,250 from the current 1,050 at our Bangalore centre, where we are also planning a campus," Upinder Zutshi, chief operating officer (COO), Infinte said on September 18.

The company has acquired six acres of land for this and when completed, it can house up to 2,000 professionals, he said.

Infinite is also targeting a revenue of $ 150 million in the next three years, up from $ 53 million in 2002- 03.

"We have a revenue target of $ 70 million in the current fiscal, Zutshi said, adding that most of the work is going to be offshore now onwards.

The company is also planning to enter the business process outsourcing (BPO) segment through an acquisition.

"We are looking at organic as well as inorganic route to boost our growth rate. While we look to expand vertical and geographical offering, we also plan to make an acquisition of an IT services and BPO company," Zutshi said.

Infinite is eyeing IT services companies in the range of $ 7-13 million in the banking and finance space, he said, adding that even if the company had enough internal accruals to fund any acquisition, it was in talks with Singapore Fund.
