Bangalore: Enterprise communication solution provider ABS India on September 18 announced the launch of Alcatel's IP communication platform, the Alcatel OmniPCX Enterprise.

"This next generation IP Communication solution is the natural evolution of the most awarded enterprise communication system, the Alcatel OmniPCX 4400. The Alcatel OmniPCX enterprise is the industry's first true enterprise-wide IP communication platform," an ABS India release said.

The Alcatel OmniPCX enterprise addresses the needs of corporations that seek to establish "reliable, trustworthy" IP communications on a converged voice and data IP network, the release said.

"Utilising a next generation fail-over model, it uniquely provides mission critical availability to any configuration, including networked branch offices. This model includes full geographic redundancy for disaster protection and automatic service recovery for full-featured branch office survivability, crucial for safely integrating branch offices into centrally managed communication systems," it said.
