Bangalore: Software major Infosys Technologies has bagged a five-year 75 million Australian Dollar ($ 50 million) contract from Australian telecom major Telstra for software development and maintenance.

"It is a 75 million Australian Dollar ($ 50 million) contract for five years," a Infosys spokesperson said on September 9.

No further details were forthcoming on the contract.

Telstra is the largest telecommunications firm in Australia with revenues in 2002-03 of 21.7 billion Australian Dollar.
