New Delhi: Hitting out at the developed nations for their attitudes towards World Trade Organisation (WTO) negotiations, India on August 18 warned against the Doha round being hijacked by European Union and United States.

Essex Junction (Vermont): IBM, the world's largest provider of computer hardware, laid off 500 workers at its Vermont plant on August 18 in an effort to right itself amid steep industry declines, the company said.
