IOC's Ramachandran, OIL's Dutta share FIIE honours

New Delhi: Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) chairman M S Ramachandran and Oil India Ltd (OIL) chairman and managing director R K Dutta have been conferred with top honours of the FIIE corporate excellence awards for year 2002.

While Ramachandran was adjudged the 'best corporate man of the year 2002', Dutta carried away the award of 'best energy man of the year 2002'.

The awards, instituted by Foundation of Indian Industry and Economists (FIIE), were given away by Labour Minister Sahib Singh Verma. Minister for Heavy Industry and PSE Subodh Mohite was also present on the occasion, a release said.

The award was conferred to Ramachandran in recognition of his outstanding performance and remarkable achievements in steering IOC, India's only fortune 'global 500' company for nine years in a row now.

Dutta got the award for his outstanding performance in various parameters like leadership, flexibility, strategy, resource management and corporate governance.

The FIIE is a division of National Foundation of Indian Engineers and is engaged in strategic value creation for Indian corporates. The awards are being given since 1988.
