AT panel agrees for nationwide implementation
New Delhi: In an apparent climb-down from its earlier stance, the Empowered Committee on Value- added Tax (VAT) on July 7 gave in to the Centre's plan for a nationwide VAT implementation, instead of a patchwork, after arriving at a national consensus with political parties expected within few months.

RIL, HLL lead negative reaction as SENSEX falls

OBC to run Infosys software on Wipro hardware
New Delhi: The Oriental Bank of Commerce (OBC) has tied up with Infosys and Wipro for centralised banking solutions to provide customers with "anywhere anytime" services, which is part of the information technology up-gradation drive at an investment of Rs 280 crore (Rs 2.80 billion).

Maruti scrip to be listed by July 9 to 10: Khattar
New Delhi: The shares of car major Maruti Udyog Ltd (MUL) would be listed on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) by July 9 to 10, its managing director Jagdish Khattar said.
