Intel chief Otellini to visit India on June 9

New Delhi: Paul S Otellini, President and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Intel Corporation, will visit India on June 9-10 to discuss India's potential role in the global information technology (IT) and communications economy.

During his visit, Otellini will meet with government, industry and business leaders to explore strategies that will help India continue to benefit from the economic and productivity advantages of widespread IT deployment.

Among the highlights of his trip, Otellini will deliver a keynote address in Mumbai that highlights India's need to extend its IT leadership beyond software and strengthen its competence in value-added IT enterprise services and hardware design. He will also stress on the benefits of adopting wireless technology and its growing significance for global business.

In Bangalore, Otellini will visit the new Intel India Development Centre campus, which will house some of Intel's leading designers and creators of world-class technologies.

Intel, the world's largest chipmaker, is also a leading manufacturer of computer, networking and communications products.
