Trigent builds online application for MySelfHelp.com
Thursday, May 29 2003 15:16 Hrs (IST)

Southborough: Trigent Software is developing an application platform for MySelfHelp.com, a provider of online, interactive, self-help resources for the mental health self-care industry.

The new site, scheduled for release this week, is designed to improve the effectiveness of clinical therapy by providing accurate, supporting medical information, experiential learning activities, and collaborative and community-building tools to subscribers.

The site will initially include three online products, "Defeating Depression", "Stop Binge Eating", and "Hope for HIV and Depression". All MySelfHelp.com applications allow users to proceed through content and exercises in a self-paced manner. The application platform will serve as the foundation for hosting future self-care content products.

"Trigent has provided MySelfHelp.com with the technical expertise needed in critical areas such as content management, community building, user customisation, and the delivery of multilingual content," said Dr Richard Bedrosian, president of MySelfHelp.com. "We have relied on Trigent to create the overall solution architecture, evaluate and develop the content management platform, and integrate the various components of the application."

"By employing a development team in Bangalore, our India development center, which includes experts in content management and community building technologies, we were able to provide the specialised expertise MySelfHelp.com required while rapidly and cost-effectively developing the solution," said Bharat Khatau, CEO of Trigent Software.

MySelfHelp.com will present a workshop demonstrating the interactive self-help programs at the Academy for Eating Disorders International Conference in Denver on May 29 & 31. The workshop will focus on interactive self-help programs as adjuncts to treatment for binge eating disorder and related problems.
