Intel urges India to be a 'total IT nation'
Tuesday, April 22 2003 18:49 Hrs (IST)

New Delhi: Silicon innovation, enabled by Moore's Law, continued to be integrated into enterprise, governments, educational institutions and homes throughout the world despite the high-tech recession, said Dadi Perlmutter, vice president and general manager of the Mobile Products Group while speaking at the Intel Developer Forum.

He urged developers to continue to evolve from their software foundations towards developing one-generation-ahead technologies to become a 'total IT nation'.

Intel illustrated its commitment to helping India's technology industry, by announcing that Asia's first design team to focus on the enhancement and development of next generation Intel® CentrinoTM Mobile Technology was being established at the Intel India Development Centre in Bangalore.
