'Iraq war unlikely to have major impact on exports'
Monday, April 21 2003 14:31 Hrs (IST)

New Delhi: Government on April 21 said the Iraq war is not likely to have any significant impact on India's exports and imports this fiscal.

"However, if the period of uncertainty continues, India's exports as well as imports are likely to be affected due to effect on oil prices, shipping, hike in freight charges and increase in insurance costs etc," Trade and Commerce Minister Arun Jaitley said in written reply in Rajya Sabha.
