Hubli: Electronics and Computer Software Export Promotion Council (ESC), Bangalore
has facilitated Indian electronics and computer software exports up to $ 8.86
billion in 2001- 2002 from mere $ 200 million, an ESC official said on April 15.
ESC Regional Executive Nagaraj Rao, who delivered the key-note address
on "incentives and encouragement offered by the Central government", said that ESC's
global vision had helped Indian products to reach over 130 countries.
ESC played a vital role in locating new business partners for small, medium,
innovative and growing Indian electronics and computer software companies, he said.
He said as the ideal catalyst for foreign companies wanting to establish business
links in India by investing or forming joint ventures, ESC has come a long way in
promoting both technological advancement and business.
