Bangalore: Information Technology (IT) bellwether Infosys Technologies on April 10
reported a sales of Rs 3,622.69 crore for the year 2002-03, over the previous year's
income of Rs 2,603.59 crore.
The net profit stood at Rs 957.93 crore, over the 2001-02 profit of Rs 807.96 crore,
an Infosys statement said.
Infosys reported a revenue of Rs 1,019.85 crore for the fourth quarter between
January and March 2003, as against Rs 680.14 crore recorded during the corresponding
quarter.
The company has recommended a final dividend of Rs 14.50 on each share of Rs 5.00
(290 per cent on a par value of Rs 5 per share).
Infosys' earning per share stood at Rs 144.68 for the current year as against Rs
122.12 for the previous year.
The financial services segment was the growth driver for the company during the year
contributing sales of Rs 1,355.94 crore, as against Rs 953.98 crore during 2001-02.
Profit from the financial services segment stood at Rs 431.88 crore against Rs
350.87 crore last year.
Manufacturing sales stood at Rs 597.48 crore during 2002-03, as against Rs 350.87
crore last year. Net profit from manufacturing was Rs 196.14 crore during the
current year as against Rs 152.76 crore in the previous year.
Revenue from telecom was Rs 543.14 crore during 2002-03 against Rs 406.79 last year.
Profits from telecom was Rs 212.39 crore as against Rs 191.16 crore last year.
