Mumbai: Equities recovered their early losses and even posted moderate gains pushing the SENSEX up by about 16 points at close at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on April 4 on fresh buying support from operators coupled with consistent purchases by Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs).

CII for taking up 'protectionism' issue at WTO
Bangalore: Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) president Ashok Soota on April 4 suggested that India take up at the World Trade Organisation (WTO) the issue of "protectionism" on natural movement of professionals on work in some countries by their governments.
