Bangalore: Sun Microsystems founder Chairman Scott McNealy on March 22 visited Wipro and unveiled a plaque commemorating 15 years of Wipro-Sun relationship.

McNealy later held discussions with Wipro Chairman Azim Premji and addressed Wipro employees, a company release said in Bangalore.

"In India, Wipro has done its bit to spread the gospel of the network being the computer. It has been a successful journey for both Sun and Wipro," Premji said.

He said McNealy was one of the most influential thought leaders in the IT industry.

"His vision of the network being the computer has been validated by everything we see around us today," Premji said.

Wipro is the leading systems integrator for Sun in India had also built unmatched expertise on Sun's entire product chain, including Sun Solaris and SunOne platforms, the release said.
