BSNL introduces 4 new offers for subscribers

Bangalore: Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), Karnataka circle has introduced four value-added offers to its CellOne mobile subscribers, which are 'Sunday', 'Night', 'Family and Friends' and 'Corporate Offers'.

Principal general manager BSNL, Bangalore telecom district B R Baliga told reporters on March 5 that the subscribers can make unlimited calls on the offer by paying a fixed amount.

The charges are Rs 50 per month for the 'Sunday' offer, Rs 75 for the 'Night' offer between 10 pm to 8 am, Rs 75 for the 'Family and Friends' offer where unlimited outgoing calls is offered on three mobile numbers and a virtual private network offer for corporate subscribers, he said.

M C Kalkura, general manager, mobile services said an additional 40,000 SIM cards have been distributed in the state to cater to the growing demand from subscribers.

He said CellOne subscriber base had touched 1,22,143 subscribers with 38,770 post- paid and 83,373 pre-paid customers.

Kalkura said during the second phase of expansion, BSNL would augment its mobile capacity to 3.07 lakh in the coming months.

Baliga said there would be no security deposit for CDMA WLL mobile connection for BSNL landline customers.

"We have also reduced tariff of always on Internet browsing service to Rs 850 per month," he said.
