All incoming calls on mobile phones to be free

New Delhi: Telecom regulator TRAI (Telecom Regulatory Authority of India) on January 25 proposed to make all incoming calls on mobile phones from any source (mobile, landline or WLL (Wireless in Local Loop)-Mobile) free of charge.

TRAI chairman M S Verma said any levy of fixed amount in lieu of incoming calls is invalid.
