'Rich nations have failed to open up their markets'
London: Commonwealth Secretary General Don McKinnon on January 24 cautioned that prospects of a fair and principled round of trade negotiations were "fast fading" due to failure of developed countries in delivering on their promise to provide market access to developing countries.

Iran offers 2.5 million tonnes of LNG to India
New Delhi: Iran on January 25 offered 2.5 million tonnes of Liquiefied Natural Gas (LNG) to India although the fate of Indo-Iran gas pipeline, passing through Pakistan, remains uncertain due to security consideration.

All incoming calls on mobile phones to be free
New Delhi: Telecom regulator TRAI (Telecom Regulatory Authority of India) on January 25 proposed to make all incoming calls on mobile phones from any source (mobile, landline or WLL (Wireless in Local Loop)-Mobile) free of charge.
