Microsoft gives Russia secret Windows code
Moscow: Russia has become the first nation to get secret source codes of Windows operating system from the US computer giant Microsoft for developing secure software for sensitive government requirements like fighting terrorism.

Reliance enters world's most respected cos list
Bangalore: Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) has entered the list of world's most respected companies. Reliance is one of the only two companies from India that have featured in the world's 90 most respected companies list published by 'Financial Times', based on global survey and research done by PricewaterhouseCoopers, according to an official press release.

ADB projects 6-6.7 pc growth for India for 2003-05
New Delhi: Projecting 6-6.7 per cent growth for 2003-05, Asian Development Bank (ADB) on January 22 said the ambitious target of 8 per cent gross domestic product (GDP) growth during the 10th Plan could be achieved only by speedy reforms, especially reduction in fiscal deficit and easing of foreign direct investment (FDI) norms.

Revised tariffs for basic services in 2-3 days: TRAI
New Delhi: Denouncing the "pressure tactics" adopted by cellular operators and rejecting the charges of favouritism, telecom regulator Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) on January 22 said it would announce the revised tariffs for basic telecom services in the next 2-3 days.
