Luxor receives international award for case study

Bangalore: Ankur quality circle of Pilot brand of Luxor writing instruments, has won an international award for its distinguished presentation of its case study at the International Quality Circle Convention 2002 organised by the Quality Circle Forum of India, according to an official press release.

Presented by Uttar Pradesh Governor Vishnukant Shastri, this worldwide recognition for its excellent HR practices is another feather in Luxor's cap, the release said.

The team, consisting of eight employees from Pilot had undertaken this task to increase productivity of the brand without compromising on the quality. The new 'L' shaped model thus developed had helped the brand to reach the same efficiency level by saving 16 hours in a day and the productivity increased by six pieces per man per hour, the release said.

Luxor Writing Instruments president and chairman D K Jain said, "Since our inception, our mission has always been to develop Luxor Writing Instruments Ltd into a world-class manufacturing centre by continuous improvement of people, processes and products and optimisation of resources through rationalisation of facilities."
