Bharti Telesoft International assessed at CMM level 3

Bangalore: Bharti Telesoft International Pvt Ltd, a leading provider of proven telecom solutions and services to the global markets has recently been assessed at CMM (capability maturity model for software) level 3. This certification recognises Telesoft's focus to build a world-class organisation, driven by high quality and process standards, according to an official press release.

At Level 3, Telesoft's software processes for both management and engineering activities is documented, standardised and integrated into a standard software process, the release said.

Established by the Carnegie Mellon University's SEI (Software Engineering Institute, Pittsburgh), CMM establishes a yardstick against which it is possible to judge an organisation's software process and compare it to the industry's practices, helping the organisation to plan continuous software process improvement, the release said.

Speaking on this assessment, chief executive officer Bharti Telesoft International Pvt Ltd Sajiv Mittal said, "At Telesoft, our vision is to create an Indian global giant in the telecom solutions and services space. This assessment is the first step towards this vision. It reinforces our commitment towards continuous process improvement with a view to execute all software projects diligently. We are now striving to achieve CMM level 5 certification," the release said.

Telesoft became an ISO 9001 certified company within the first year of its operations, according to the release.
